In Maryland we're in the beginning of a drought. Trees here are doing what you describe.

It's a stress reaction. Some trees are just a bit more sensitive to drought than others.

They'll be fine.

I am in southern Ontario Canada and I was thinking tthe exact same thing last night while I was doing the dishes. the trees in the back have quite a bit of change to them already....we have had a good summer in terms of rain and dry but it has been unseasonally cool in the evenings and mornings so I am going to blame it on that, for here anyway.

Yes, I've noticed the changing of the leaves also. I'm in SW Ont.Canada....they changed this early last year, too. I'm not sure why they change so soon...maybe it's because we notice it more as we get to the end of summer.

I'm in Arkansas and the leaves here are just turning crispy brown and falling off the trees. I think it has something to do with global warming too. With the leaves falling off crispy brown already, we can hang up having a beautiful fall season.

I'm in Maine, and yeah, a few are changing. Trees start changing when nights get cooler no matter the date or daytime temperatures.

It is just like Man, becomes older when time passes by or when the environment does not conform with their existence.
