I am currently looking for a new grass to plant in my lawn, but I want something that is environmentally safe (i.e., requires no mowing) and that is truly labor un-intensive. The areas in need of planting are ow- or no-traffic areas, so such damage need not be a consideration. I live in zone 7. Thanks.

I clipped from healthy plants, wet end and dipped end in rooting hormone. So far with 2 waterings daily they all seem to be fine.

These little critters are shaped liked little frogs, except their skin has scales like a lizard. They move very slowly, i can easily pick one up with a shovel. Are they toads? Are they good or bad? I never saw them before, but this year there are quite a few. I live in zone 5, SE michigan, suburban detroit

I just moved into the Bryn Mawr area of Minneapolis - The yard is full of Hostas that I'm already sick of.
I have lots and lots of shade.

i do not have an infestation but ive found one while diging to plant a shrub in a flower bed, and then a skin while weeding in another bed. I DO NOT like snakes! these were both under 12 inches (DON'T LAUGH!!) long, but never the less still a snake! and besides i know something bigger made them, and they were on opposite sides of the property so im thinking not siblings, which means more of the bigger ones...and so on....and so on.... now im seeing an infestation!!!

i've heard they wont go around moth balls...?

Our backyard is park like with trees, water, etc. so we have a natural cockroach problem. We have 3 dogs and a 4 year old so I'd like to avoid the traditional exterminator. Any ideas?

The lillies were planted from 3 pots in May, 2005 and multiplied this year to a large quantity that bloomed beautifully in April. In mid-July they continued to develop large seed pods but have not bloomed again. What can I do to get them to bloom?

It gets moderate sunlight and is kept watered. I've had it for around 4yrs and is getting pretty tall. Over the past 6 months, the ends of the leaves started drying out.
