one is the smokers tree. People gather around and smoke ciggerettes. This tree is small and yellow instead of green like the others It just looks sick . Would anyone know why? Thanks.

I don't know much about trees, but many vegetables and flowering plants are vulnerable to tobacco. The tree may have a tobacco-related disease, like a mosaic virus or something like that.

From what I understand cigarette butts do not poison the soil per se. My fiance puts some of his at the edge of my flower bed and it just as green as can be! The flower bed that is, not the butts hehehe.
As for the tree it could be smoke, it could be soil compaction.
It's interesting enough that maybe when you see the maintenance people outside you should mention it to them.
Poor tree. Danged smokers ;)

It may also be from so many people walking around the tree and compacting the soil. Makes it hard and the rain doesn't soak up into the dirt, but will run off.

I have an idea ...maybe the smokers are litter bugs and throw their butts on the ground and it messes with the pH balance of the dirt
just a thought ...but plausible

Maybe because of all the cigarette smoke? Very unhealthy.
