These patches are all over the lawn and the largest is about 10 inches in diameter. They are irregularly shaped and really do look like vomit.

Red Maple is as tall as a 2 story house and it is a beautiful twisted combination of maybe 4 medium to small trees that are actually formed and married together throughout the branches and the trunks forming one tree. It gives off hundreds of babies in the spring. It would be a shame to not try to save this delightful and healthy tree.

I live in Santa Cruz, CA and I dug up the dirt in my backyard and threw down some grass seeds. The section I planted is growing great but I was wondering how long I should wait to walk on it and if there is a suggested watering amount. Any tips on growing grass in general are welcome too.

I have a beautiful Royal Purple smoke tree in my yard. It has a rock and slate path that constantly grows weeds next to it. I bought some weed killer a sprayed it on the path to get rid of the weeds but now all of the foliage on that side of the tree is dieing! It was a spectacularly dumb move on my part....is there something I can do to fix it?? Is my poor tree doomed??

I have grown tomatoes in six big containers (about 12" dia) in my garden which are now ready to come out. I have a fairly sheltered south facing garden but no beds- only containers. I've managed peppers, chillies, aubergines and tomatoes this summer, but what can I sow now to enjoy over the autumn/winter?

I'd like to grow from seed if at all possible.

Thanks for your help- P.S. I'm in South Wales.
