Depends on where you live. I live in Alaska and i plant pansies, dianthus, marigolds, dahlias, sunflowers, lobelia, fuschias, nicotiana, lavatera, nasturiums. All are easy care. Pansies, lobelia ans fuschias prefer partial shade East exposure. The rest like full sun. Go to a local nursery and ask what they recommend.

It depends on your location. The best advice I can give you is: Walk around your garden, look at the neighbors gardens. See which flowers are better looking in their gardens and get the same.
