Depends on where you live. I live in Alaska and i plant pansies, dianthus, marigolds, dahlias, sunflowers,lobelia, fuschias, nicotiana, lavatera, nasturiums. All are easy care. Pansies, lobelia ans fuschias prefer partial shade East exposure. The rest like full sun. Go to a local nursery and ask what they recommend.
