the hornets have been eating the leaves in the flowers but now they are all over the heads of the sun flowers but they are not hurting anything

Are you sure that's hornets? Not honey bees? Honey bees love sunflowers. It could be leaf-cutter bees, though. They cut leaf with their mouth using like a chain sew, and they will make a nest with it. Or, maybe it was hornets, eating small bugs on the sunflowers. I'm not helping much, am I? Sorry... :(

i'm sure the bees are wondering why there are so many humans around their sunflower.
