update. i took the challenge and drove the 80 miles to sandiego county and got a personal tour of garden dok's garden. ladies, the dok is a hunk. for real. staying in a local motel (he's a gentleman too) he's taking me on a tour of san diego gardens in the morning. more later.

i said i'd get back with more details, but i didn't know it would take this long. still in san diego (i may never go home). been trrough the most beautiful gardens i have ever seen. (dok is kind of like a sailor... a lady in every garden! ha ha.) i guess i got a first hand answer to my question. sort of a hands on answer and the answer is YES!!! (no more motels on this visit. i am now a house guest) i think i am in love?!? someone want to tell my boyfriend at home to send me my things? i love gardening san diego style! did anyone ever guess that there are young master gardeners? don't know how he does it, but dok has the softest mulch i ever rolled around in. would you beleave a moon light swim in a pool completly covered with flower petals & floating candles. dok & i have a lot in common. he doesn't have tan lines either. as soon as the sun comes up we are going to plant some fruit-sented sage near his pool... butt naked. if this is a dream, i never want to wake up.

Absolutely! They are naturally curious, have a keen eye, aren't afraid to get sweaty and dirty. All the makings for a good time?
Good luck Karen, and yes Dok, I have to agree; science is wonderful.

My wife had a choice. The dirty finger nailed back yard gardener or the the star half back from our college football team. she chose the the dirty finger nails over the thick neck jock. she was very romantic about it. said gardeners bring life and beauty into the word. Jocks only leave empties in their wake.
foot note to ragin karen from my wife: What does the doc look like? How much of a hunk?
foot note from me to the doc: go for it.

I'm in love as well(even though guys not my thing).
I cannot speak for all gardeners BUT I thought the answer obvious- YES!
A creature who devotes time to other creatures is usually the type of creature I would like to care with...
After all they nourish, tend to needs, plan for even greater things,
give water to the thirsty, feed the hungry, and appreciate the beauties that surround them! Need I say more?

It sounds like yours could be! When a man shows this side of himself, its exciting. It means they understand the importance of beauty to a woman and he will probably be romantic and caring.
