Angel Trumpets (datura) are definitely toxic to ingest. A severe allergic reaction could happen with lots of plants if they're touched. Campsis (trumpet vine) has some of the same type of toxin as does poison ivy. I've had skin rashes from this plant when cleaning the greenhouse. I guess a severe enough reaction would be called "poisoning"?
Many flowering plants are highly toxic if ingested by eating or breathing burning fumes: foxglove (Digitalis) and poinsettias both come to mind.
You're not planning anything, right?

People say that Poinsettia is poisonous, but it is only a myth. Digitalis(Foxglove) is deadly, if ingested. However, it is(has) known to use for the heart medicine. A species of Angel's Trumpet is also poisonous. There are so many poisonous plants on earth, but usually only when you ingested it, but not just by smelling or touching them.

Usually it is injesting plants that is a problem. Some people are allergic to different things. My mom is highly allergic to the smell of angel trumpets. I think that if plants are toxic they usually have to be cooked down to make them more toxic. Toxic plants include: lily of the valley, pointsetta, angel trumpets, morning glories, dumb cane and oleanders.
