i dont have that problem on any of my tomatoes...the cherry, early girl or better boy...just as soon as i see reddish tints i pick them and take into the house and put on the kitchen table....there they finishing ripening and eliminates the problem of split skins

maybe you need to pick your tomatoes a little earlier

If you wait until the tomatoes are superripe, the skin will split. It won't matter if you don't pick them--the skin will split if you leave them on the vine, too.

If you pick them slightly less ripe, the skin will remain intact. Fruit continues to ripen after it is picked, and tomatoes are a fruit.

it happens to ALL TOMATOES

just means you took a little longer to pick them. its not a bad thing.

its overripe, start picking them faster
