mango trees thrive in sunny places with medium-rich soil. primarily, aside from sunlight a-plenty, it also needs a tropical climate. i haven't been to arizona yet, but i think it would be difficult to grow mangoes there for the purposes of fruit production. you can grow it by buying mango saplings and just take care of it like you would any other tree... but success is not an assurance.
