I own one (indoor) plant. I've heard that it's good to talk to your plants. Is this true? And what am I supposed to talk to a plant about exactly?

Plants take in carbon dioxide which is what we put out when we exhale. So by talking to the plant you are giving it what it needs to grow.

It's not what you say, really, that makes the difference. It's the fact that you're breathing carbon dioxide on it that helps. Other than that, plants can sense whether your are helpful or harmful. So just give off nice vibes.

You tell them how beautiful they are. You thank them for sharing their beauty and making your home a sanctuary. The positive white light energy you send to them augments their growth. Read the Celestine Profecy. Have your plants told you their names? Yeah, I'm insane, but my plants -- jungle -- are thriving.

Who knows what it does, but it's probably good for you too - you might want to get something off your chest, why not tell the plant?

i've had many plants for years. they do well as long as i don't forget to water them.. i've never heard or seen any evidence that talking to plants makes any difference whatsoever unless u count the fact that it makes other people think u r crazy.

talking to plants does work. i think its a positive energy thing or something, but it works, along with food and water.

I don't know if it helps them, but I seriously doubt it will hurt them - and if you want to, why not? At the very least, it might de-stress you, and when you feel better, you'll take better care of everything!

Yes, they thrive on the carbon dioxide. And they respond to classical or soothing music.
