About the only thing you need for mushrooms to grow is moisture; it really doesn't say much about your soil at all. Shade might help them along, but it's not necessary. Unless they are presenting some other problem (for instance, if you have a pet that tries to eat them), just leave them alone, and they will go away when the level of moisture drops. Picking them generally won't work, as that just spreads more spores, from which they reproduce. If you must get rid of them quickly, contact a garden center to see what you can use that will not harm your grass or other plants.

You can get a fungicide at a garden center if they annoy you. They are a fungus, so they like it cool and damp. They are also often the result of decaying wood underground, such as an old rotting tree stump or buried wood from construction. They will leave when the weather dries out.

if there are mushrooms in your yard, it doesn't necssarily mean your soil is rotten, or acidic, it mostly says that your garden might have fungus growing in some areas or parts, which can conclude that the mushrooms are there only to prove that the soil is unhealthy.

You could look at the mushrooms and say, "Cool, there's
a mushroom in the yard!" I wouldn't eat them though. A
lot of them a poisonous.

The spores blew in from somewhere. Just spread some cow manure around, tell some stoners that they get you high, and watch them disappear!

pick them and through them away before they go to seed. I have the same problem when it's really damp. I've tried seven dust and it kills the live ones but the spores aren't touched .
