Put mothballs around the base of your trees

There are several ways to do this. First go to your local garden center and buy the wrap that you use for the trunk. This will also protect chewing in winter from bunnies. As for the trees, collect hair from your hairdresser. Hang that in small bags from the branches. This may sound nuts but I have a friend who has done this for years and it works. If you are asking about cedar--that is one of their favorite foods so that's tougher. Regular trees or fruit trees, use the above method. Pruning the tree does not hurt the tree if that's all they do.

Go ask in your local beauty salon if you can have the hair that they sweep up, put it into panty hose and hang from tree, for some reason human hair repels the deer. Good luck

You can either install thick wire mesh on poles around the trees or kill the deer. Dealer's choice.

If you know someone who owns a salon, they say human hair will keep them away if you lay in on the ground around the base of the tree.

Eat the deer.

A large dog helps.

If the trees are small enough cage them with hogwire 8'tall.

crush moth balls and sprinkle them around the tree, 3-4 times its diameter. It helps with my "banana" trees.
