The fruit looks to be growing partially around the bush's branches. Have seen these before. They taste like sour apples. Anyone have an idea what they are?

I know from experience that irises, hyacinths, and gladiolus do, but is it common for all bulb flowers to multiply each year?

Today I noticed how inexpensive the housing market is in Texas.. Really nice homes and pools for under $150,000.... Where I live you could not touch a house for under $350,000.... I am thinking of just picking up and moving somewhere in Texas... Which city in Texas is the best? I have a highschooler and I was thinking of Dallas... Any suggestions? Thanks in advance

I have a small area behind my pool where there are a few decent-sized palm trees and grass and weeds. We want to do something attractive with that area, but we don't have a lot of money. It's hard to mow there because everything goes flying into the pool. We've pulled the grass out a few times, but that is frustrating, back breaking work that lasts much shorter than you'd think. It grows back pretty darned fast. I've been told not to landscape with lava rock. What can I use? I need rocks that are big enough that if they're knocked into the pool, they won't be sucked up by the vacuum. I'm up for any ideas at this point. I live in the DFW area of Texas.

We have neighbors all around us, behind and on both sides, so growing something that will spread is difficult. We considered bamboo, but don't want it popping up in our neighbors' well-manicured lawns.

Help... please.

Thank you!
:o)
Nichole

Is that a sign of a nutrient deficiency? OR is it just a disease possibly? I know it may be hard for you to know what I mean without seeing it, but there is one plant I have which produces "purplish or even blackish" splotched peppers.

Also why do they sometimes get "cracks" around the top of the tomato where the tomato connects to the stem?

My employer has 40 plant arriving this fall to plant. Planting them is only the beginning of the care I am sure they will need. Any thoughts on this would be welcome.

Its a good quality fence, but the plants still find gaps to get through, particularly between the fence panels and the concrete posts. Keeping it trimmed back is problematic, because parts of the fence are in a very hard to reach place. Are there any fence treatments/paints you can get to overcome this problem?

Many thanks!

We have a tiered yard, and have almost cleared the first tier (it's about 5' x 25'.) We can't get a lawn mower onto it safely, so I need a ground cover that will help slow the flow of heavy rains toward the house.

it will butt up to some ivy that we are leaving in place for the time being.

Thoughts? Resources?? Thanks.

I planted two tiny 2" tall tomato plants this year for the first time. The plants have grown to over 6 feet tall now with literally a few hundred tomatoes. I've already picked about 50, but most were too small to do anything with, and some split before I picked them. The problem is that the tomatoes ripen when they are too small and many are spliting. What did I do wrong? The plants themselves are so big I can't tie them or control them anymore.

How can I make the tomatoes grow bigger before they ripen?

Would cutting the plant so it's smaller / has less tomatoes to feed work?
