If whoever that's doing the dissassembly is careful, the only thing that really will be trash is the liner, unless it's brand new (this summer).

you can do this, my neighbor did, he dug the hole then built a cement block wall an inch wider then the pool diminsions then he put the pool in place. remember their is one place the blocks will have to go in last and thats where the last seam is. this isn't really cheap, but he already had the pool and this was cheaper than buying a new inground pool it wont be done in a day or two. the blocks have to set. then you've still got the sand to put in like i said my neighbor did this, i was involved in helping him, it's not a one man job. when he finished installing, before the water went in he wrapped the top of the pool(made forms) about an inch and a half away then he poured a 4 ft. cement patio- walkway around. when the cement was dry and top cap put on their is no gap left he did this 5 years ago and last year we had to replace the liner due to kids and kids. it was shot. still looks good check your local codes first, a city engineer will gladly come out and answer any questions on this matter for you. and will advise you if you need power or any other lines moved. safety first.

Jes is right. I bought an above the ground pool from a couple that did not want it because of their young children. I dismantled it and bought a new "Doughboy" pool liner with a deep end and it was perfect.

someone might by the pool, all they would have to do is buy a new liner if the old parts are ok.

You can re-use every bit of the pool, deck, & parts as long as you tear it down carefully.
