Its a good quality fence, but the plants still find gaps to get through, particularly between the fence panels and the concrete posts. Keeping it trimmed back is problematic, because parts of the fence are in a very hard to reach place. Are there any fence treatments/paints you can get to overcome this problem?

Many thanks!

Why don't you have a word with your Neighbour, that's if you are on Speaking terms?

Otherwise if it were me I would Cut them right down to the Roots and throw them over into their Garden, hopefully they will get the Message or even come round to have a Word with you about it.

Do you know what these Plants are First? they might be expensive Specimens that you could take Cuttings from.

You state Plant's, do you know what they are?they are obviously Climbing ones to get through your Fence.

You could put Gravel Boards at the bottom of the Fence to Stop them creeping underneath onto your side.

Weed killer, don't go nuts. just keep the fence and concrete posts dampened down every evening for a week or two with a light spray. The plants will get the idea. You should do it at night so the Sun does not evaporate it. It would be a good idea to talk to your neighbour first. Maybe they can tie their plants if they are wild. if its wild flora just do the weed killer thing. there are also organic sprays you can get if you are that way inclined. good luck.

Round Up is one solution, but you should be careful about what you apply it to. If they're just letting weeds grow through the fence, it probably won't cause a problem. But if those are their prize winning rose bushes, weed killer and Round Up will kill the entire plant. You might want to guage how much of a problem you want to have with an angry neighbor.

there's not anything you can do - it's up to the neighbor to keep their plants trimmed on their side of the fence. All you can do is spray it with something that will actually kill the plant - which is kind of sad I think.

As long as you don't confront her, this will continue, so it's up to you. If she falls over with a heart attack when you do, call 911. Our neighbor used to have a cat that would tear up our window screens by scratching holes in them. My wife let her know about it. Well she got rid of the cat. Otherwise we would have 100's of dollars of damages. This lady is not your friend, so you won't lose anything by being up front with her. Make your husband go talk to her, and next time you see her with anything of yours, call the cops. If you don't do anything, the fault is mostly yours. You have to draw a line in the sand sometimes for people to respect you. Good luck with the old biddy.

Unless the plants are invasive or weeds, why not just enjoy them? I think it would be illegal to kill the plant from your side, so why not have a chat with your neighbour. If that fails, then get advice from your District Council, where they should have a bod to deal with such queries.

there a couple ways that come to mind, one is roundup it take about three weeks and it will kill most plants if you are talking about a vine you might want to use a little of 2-4-d brush killer.
if you do not want to make the neighbor angry at you do not let him see you dispensing this stuff because either one will do a number on anything it comes into conact with

Cut off the parts that are growing onto your property. Or simply dump a giant bottle of bleach onto the base of the plant.
