I live in the Middle South, and would like to plant a Crepe Myrtle Tree in my front yard about 8 feet away from my covered porch. Which kind would you suggest? I would like one that looked more like a tree than a bush. Thanks for your help!

There are a whole bunch of Walnut tree around my house and they are dropping the little green balls with the walnuts in them. They keep dropping them on the roof of the house and a few have hit the car-which is now housed in the garage. When will they stop dropping the nut? How much longer to I have to look forward to the *ping**ping**thump* of the walnuts hitting the house and the ground? Sometimes it sounds like somone is trying to break into the house. Gets kinda creepy.

This spring, pumpkin plants started growing. I wouldn't let my hubby pull them...hoping for a nice crop of pumpkins for this fall. I got about a dozen pumkins. One turned out beautifully. (Was dark green, then turned bright orange.) The others all started out a cream color, and ended up being a melon color. Could they all have crossed with something else? They are definetely pumpkins, just an odd color! Just wondering...and just a little disappointed!

I have a Scotts drop spreader (model 1000, aka El Cheapo) and using the suggested setting on the back of my Scotts grass seed hardly drops any seeds. Do your best to describe the coverage... maybe seeds per square inch or how high to bump the setting on the spreader. Thank you!

I have this Maple looking tree next to my driveway on
my property and it causing problems, well at least for
me. During and after the fall season, the leave drops
and it's all over the driveway, which is not a problem
because that's what tree does during fall and winter,
but my biggest problem is this, I don't know what kind
of tree this is but besides the leaves, there are tons
of small round shell -looking beads all over my
driveway. I spoke to my friend and he said those are
problem trees and their roots are very shallow near
the surface of the lawn. I really love having this
tree because it blocks the sun during summer and it's
hot where I live and i don't know what to do? Should I
have someone cut it down and plant something else? I
want something with big leaves, easy to clean up and
the leaves are big enough to block the sun. Please
advice!

And that I have been over watering the tree (I water it every other day or so) apparently it makes the leaves to big and nothing gets to the fruit! Is that true?
