well, palm trees need lots of warmth or heat in order for them to grow properly. the best time to plant them is during spring. in winter months, the roots have to work double time in order to get established before a freeze so its not the best time to plant them. they dont require a ot of care just make sure they get watered once or twice a week and do not fertilize for at least one year because you risk burning any young, tender roots thus killing your palm tree. Good Luck pal

Palm queens are neighborhood when I stay in Brazil and the climate is comparable there. Palm Queens is a very stright palm, some palms could be lean. Do you seem the floor? have any concern, the roots could be not fastened nicely in the floor. Or, i think of it somewhat is the reason, the wind lean your queen palm... right here when I stay in Brazil we've 2 varieties the wind (Northeastern - in the course of the summer time, and South - in the course of the iciness). The Northeasterns blows sturdy between october to might, the queens palm and timber can lean on the facet. I observed a Araucaria Columnaris very lean through fact the wind, and others timber close to the sea lean through fact the wind. Marcelo - Vitoria, Brazil

I think that Aug and September are good times to plant palms. There is a special fertilizer for palms at Home Depot. If you think yours needs it, get some but do not over fertilize or you will end up killing your palms. You could also use a chemical sold at HD that is to stimulate the roots.
