Have you tried 'Rent a Mongoose'? Look them up in the yellow pages under exterminator.

The only way to get rid of snakes in your backyard is to remove the food source. An alternative to that is to erect a 3 foot blocl fence--snakes cannot climb.

Snakes are actually beneficial in that they eat insects and most are harmless. But if you have poisonous snakes, I can see why you want them gone.
If my memory serves me right, Rattlesnakes, on Rattlesnake Point near Vernon, BC, Canada were eradicated by domestic pigs.

get rid of the food of the snakes. if you get rid of the food and than clean up your yard!

Put bleach in a spray bottle and lightly mist a perimeter around your yard. They will not cross the line. Don't know why, just know it works.

you can get a cat or dog, ducks or geese, most any animal will keep snakes out of your yard

There are chemicals out there at lawn and garden stores that you put around your property that deter snakes. Just check around at different lawn and garden stores and you'll find them. Best of luck to you and yours.
