Its for my storage shed. Its approximately 6 ft. front to back by 12 ft. wide. Only need it for front and back side. Roof is sloped down from back to front. Roof overhangs about 6 inches. I was thinking of useing vinyl instead of aluminum. Later on i may intall siding as well. Any suggestions or help i would appreciate. Thanx.

I'm going to be installing a vent fan this afternoon and will have to make a short electrical run to power it. Since it is a vent fan, it is obviously going in an exterior wall (2x4 studs, insulation, and vapor barrier).
My first instinct is that the wire should run through the 2x4s (obviously) and on the interior side of the vapor barrier. Am I right or am I missing something?

I am going to burn wood this year, and I am looking for a free standing wood stove than can heat up to and beyond 3000 sqft! I know they have them, and have looked at a few, but does anybody currently have one, and what is the brand and name, and how does it work?

thanks!

I painted a small area of a plastic object with an all purpose paint and the paint seems to bond fine without a primer, however, the painted objects are stored where they bang against wood and I am constantly finding small spots that I have to touch up. Is there anything that can seal this paint on to take a little more abuse. They seem to fall victim just to light bumps and it is getting kind of annoying.

I once had a very powerful magnet, it measured 1" x 1" x 5", more or less. I wonder if it was made with a welder? I think I heard somewhere that a person could make a normal piece of steel into a magnet by attaching a welder's leads to it for a specific amount of time, and in a certain manner. Is this possible? If so, what type of welder do you think a person should use? I just want the magnet to play around with, maybe use at work if the need arose. Plus, I like fooling around with things like this. Thank you to anyone that spends their precious time answering my question.

I'm building an outside bar. I used a famowood glaze coat but it's not meant for outside and not very scratch resisitent-says to use famowood dura-tuff polyurethane coating. It recommends using a natural bristle brush or to spray on. I want to keep the glass like finish from the glazecoat so I don't really want to brush it on. What would be the best sprayer/method for applying this type of sealer? I haven't heard many good things about the wagner power sprayers. It's gonna be a one-time thing so cheap is best. Would a small, cheap, plastic 3 pint garden pump sprayer like this one work? http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10051&langId=-1&catalogId=10053&productId=100164531&N=10000003+90164&marketID=164&locStoreNum=4907
I've also seen some metal type sprayers that you pressurize with compressed air. I know they work great for stuff like WD40 but don't know how they would work with a polyurethane type sealer. Anyone have any ideas?

I am buiding a patio with a concrete block wall around it and will be putting a stone veneer on the wall. The wall will be about 2 feet high, but fairly long. I have figured I need to cover about 270 sq ft. I priced both natural field stone and engineered stone veneer. The natural stone was about $600 and the veneer was about $1600. I understand that natural stone is much harder to work with, but wondering if an extra $1000 is worth it. Since the wall is so short, I don't think the extra weight of the natural stone is an issue. Any thoughts?
