i want to build a large custom desk to put to 2 large flat screen monitors on. what's the best type of wood for the top, desk part? I've looked at several sheets at home depot and don't know what to use. i plan on using some 2 x 4's to build the support legs. i of course know to have most of the supports in the area where the monitros will be sitting.

I accidentally flushed the lid to a disposable razor last night. The toilet has not malfunctioned at all this far. Do you think I have anything to worry about?

This sticky residue from tape has been on my window for a couple weeks... how do I get it off? What can I use to get it off of plastic, glass, and wood. I tried window cleaner but it didn't work well.
Thanks!

I'm looking to put a sliding gate (3' x 3') in the entry way of an elevated deck. I am thinking top and bottom "weatherproof" sliding railings, any ideas about how to approach this? Any websites you can recommend? Any particular type or brand of metal railings I should use? I tried Googling, but being a complete newbie in DIY I am not sure if I am using the most effective search keywords! Thanks everyone!

I am putting up some lights using 5 amp terminal blocks. However, in the hall the wiring is looped and there 3 earths, 2 switch, and 3 loops etc. Now these wires just won't fit into the little holes in the terminal block? Any suggestions?? - my father in law said go up to a 15amp terminal block (?) as the holes are bigger. is this a good idea or is he trying to kill me!?!?
