It would be to affix over the plywood as it's shaped well, just wearing out fast. Also, I heard of 'rampskin" is it the same as Masonite - anyone know the best material to use for the top & any tips? Thx.

We are trying to beat the heat so we bought an air conditioner.
Would you use cardboard and tape? Plastic bags and tape? Some kind of foam and if so what kind? Wood? How much would you estimate your solution costs? I don't want to spend more than 100$. Is your solution easy to take away and put back up? Thanks!

99% of it is cheap looking fake brass and wood with all sorts of stupid bevels. Why can't they offer decent quality, modern looking stuff like IKEA instead of the fake country garbage they sell now?

I'm replacing a pull chain fixture. I have all the stuff (surface mount boxex, contuit, wires, switches, outlet, new fixture. I need to know how to wire it. The power is coming into the light now. How do I put it out to the outlet (separate) on one side and to the switch to control the light on the other (I don't want the outlet switched).

It comes in a can, and you spread it on the surface and wait until it turns white and you scrape it off. It will take it to the bare wood. It's is not on the home shopping network. I think it is called the TV infomercials.
