I pre-stained some oak wood planks, then made some stair treads out of them. I installed the treads, filled the nail holes with putty that accepts stain, sanded off the excess putty, and then tried to re-stain the light spots where I sanded the nail holes. Those areas will not accept stain. I cleaned the wood with mineral spirits, to no avail. Help!

The a/c is located close to the neighbors fence and its a noisy one (more than 70dB). It needs to be weatherproof and not look like a shanty house.or some other shabby collection of panels.

But the machine doesn't come with directions. Does anyone know where I can find directions before I rent it. I'm renovating my kitchen and had to pull the soffets above my cabinets down... now I've patched drywall there to fill in the holes. Now I need to panit it to match the rest of the kitchen.

I have a older style home, and I am removing paint from some baseboards and doors in my home to show off it's natural wood. Although most of the paint is off there are still some small flakes and the doors are sticky from the paint stripper. I'm not sure what to use to "rinse" the doors and baseboards to get it to the next step of sanding, any ideas?

I have a portable dishwasher Whirlpool SDF78OON1 Im having a hard time getting the right spigot clamp to get it to work. I cant take the part to Home Dep or Loews because its attached to the the hoses. Its the kind where you push down and on the sink, then release it and it is supposed to lock.
HAY can I just put the thing in a bucker of water and do dishes that way? Will the hose suck the wayter up and into the dishwasher?
