Good honest plumber about £125 a day.
Others will just rip you off.
You would save a lot more money if you had a go at the whole job.
Its not rocket science, how do you think the guy who will charge you £50 an hour learnt?

First off, I don't know what fixtures a "small" bathroom entails, but if it includes a bath tub or a shower unit I'd suggest you take a close look to see where and how the drain is assembled. Most of them have a trap located beneath the floor, and it takes 2 people to remove and install one. Another common mistake made by Do-It yourselfers is installing a tub level. It has to be tilted a 1/2 bubble (on a level) in order for the water to completely drain when you remove the drain plug. Installing a new sink/vanity is a snap,, all you need is a few hand tools and some basic carpentry/plumbing skills. The commode (crapper) usually comes un-assembled, and you have to take some extra precautions when you tighten down the bolts/gaskets, otherwise you can destroy it. Should only be tight enough to be sealed and stable. If you're planning on installing a fancy model, hire a pro.

We got a jobbing plumber for £400 to remove and refit.
I know that there are big differences though.
We used the tried and tested method of approaching frinds and saying "anyone know a good plumber"?

Do it yourself........ shut off the water supply.... rip it out ....buy 4 or 5 inline shut off valves for the new supplies, fit em on...hey presto water back on, kettle on, no pressure from anyone else in the house waiting to use sink, dishwasher, washin machine.... take ya time to refit the new stuff, water back on to each tap ... if it leaks switch off again at relevant stop valve...sort it out.....job done...stand back & realise then what a load of robbing sods plumbers really are. Its the fear of leaks that plumbers prey on.

They might have an hourly rate but a lot will specify a lump sum, which can be huge.
They usually know what they are doing, but if you are thinking of doing the work yourself then do it - you obviously have the potential and will most likely do a better job than them. I do everything to my house and it often takes me a lot longer but the finish and quality is to my satisfaction, unlike what crap I've experienced from some fully qualified contractors.

I'm an electrician,so not really the same thing. But if I were you,I'd do all the bits you feel happy doing, and anything you're not sure of,get a plumber to do it.Apart from wiring showers, they can't do electrics to save their lives,or yours.

Hi see you want to fit a bathroom suite, worried about plumbing provided you have modern 15mm & 22mm piping, flexable braided push on fittings to your tap connections make life a lot easier. also fit mini isolating valves below your flexable fittings if you dont get it right first time you can isolate the supply to that pipe only, till you get it right/no leaks.
i am not a plumber but keen at diy!
