I'm making a concrete sidewalk. The rebar that is being laid down before the concrete is poured is rusted. Is this a problem?

A few weeks ago, we heard something scuttling in our apartment. Now, whatever it was is definitely DEAD and it absolutely stinks. But we can't find it..it must be a rat or a mouse. How can we go about finding it so we can get rid of it?
If we must call a pest control company to find it, how much money does that usually run?

Thanks for your help.

I am looking to build a small sized building on my property that will house enough space to do my arts and crafts and will also be a good building for a small retail store to sell my crafts in. I am looking for plans, etc. Thanks for any help you can offer!

I have bamboo blinds for my windows and I want to dye them red. I was thinking of soaking them in red dye.

(1) Is bamboo the kind of material that will absorb dye well?
(2) Do you have any recommendations for a good dye to use?
(3) Do you have a suggestion for a better way to turn them red?

Thank you.

Someone told me that I should be able to break up a concrete patio with a jackhammer and a crowbar (20'x15') in just a few hours. I am averaging about 25 sq ft in about 2 1/2 hours. Any tricks to get this to go faster?

I'm rebuilding a sunroom that has suffered foundation problems. I can do-it-myself with my father-in-law or I can pay a contractor to do it. Considering finances and time issues, what is better?

I'm very big on pictures of all occasions and need suitable frames. My budget is in the "extremely limited" range, but a good idea pays for itself. I think I'm fairly proficient in the crafts area, but simplicity is always appreciated.

I pulled up the old ( and disgusting) outdoor carpet from my cement porch. There is a lot of glue left on the surface. I would like it to be smooth so that I can paint it. Any suggestions as to how to get the glue off?
