Invest in a proper drainage system, or start your own wet-land. You could dig a pond, and use the spoil to raise the surrounding area. Plant water plants that do well in your area, get some fish to eat the mosquito larvae, and watch the Egrets eat your fish. (Egret is a big white bird which prefers expensive Koi.)

Needing a place to put the water, you could use a hose and let it drain off. By submerging the hose and covering one end air tight, take that end to a lower dry place where the water can go. Or get a sump pump at a hardware store to do it.

dig a few trenches in your yard, about a foot deep, and fill it half to 3/4 full of large crushed gravel. The rest dirt, the replace the sod.

We had that kinda thing happen but it was in our basement and my dad reseached it and found a vacuum that can suck up both water and deris and it clean the basement right up. I will try to find the company.
