I want to paint my mom's bathroom, but it only has a fan and no windows.

So what brands are the best?

I have used Enviro-Cote by Kelly-Moore Paint and it is great, especially since I have chemical allergies. I painted my bathroom with it and the fumes were tolerable and supposedly the low/no VOC paint doesn't have gassing out fumes after it is dry either.

voc means volatile organic compounds. That's the stuff that gives the paint it's overwhelming smell and can give some people headaches. It's a good idea to use a low or no VOC paint for an enclosed area like that. So, you're on the right track.

Just go to a couple paint stores or hardware stores and ask around. Many major brands carry low voc paint. They're a bit pricey though. But if it's a small room you won't need much.

I've used Dutch Boy Clarity Paint. It's low odor and zero VOC.

I have no idea what VOC means but for a bathroom use a semi gloss latex.

Lowe's or Home Depot paints always score good in consumer reports tests. Ace Hardware has a good paint but it is pretty expensive.
