A few weeks ago, we heard something scuttling in our apartment. Now, whatever it was is definitely DEAD and it absolutely stinks. But we can't find it..it must be a rat or a mouse. How can we go about finding it so we can get rid of it?
If we must call a pest control company to find it, how much money does that usually run?

Thanks for your help.

We have a puppy, but she doesn't even seem to notice the smell.

if you cant find it by following your nose it might be in the walls. decomposition will take care of it after about 2 months. Call a pest control for an estimate. Call several.

It sounds like you've finished a noticeably by job of searching for it. And even if it really is contained in the air ducts or walls there is sadly no longer a lot you may want to do about it. short of ripping down walls or extreme priced air duct cleansing. If it isn't too warm were you stay I advise beginning the homestead windows and airing out the homestead. Burn some candles too. The blessing is that even if it really is a small critter like you imagine, the scent received't very last lengthy in any respect.
