I have a rolling chair with casters that screw into the base, but one has stripped out. Both the male (bolt) and female (hole) threads arer stripped. I can't find a similar caster, so I want to rethread this one. I know how to use tap and die to cut threads, but are there any tricks to make the re-threading work well in this case?

Dumb question but...

Are drywall plugs only necessary for heavy items? I am hanging curtain holdbacks and they are very light. The package came with screws and plastic plugs, but are the plastic plugs really necessary?

I have a DG120 Tork timer system. Here is a schematic of the wiring for it: http://tork.com/pdf48w.htm

I believe i have hooked it up correctly but when i turn on this sytem to set the schedule i notice that it is already providing output to the load (which is an outlet jack area, 2 of them, where i connect my pond pumps to). Its very strange because although the timer system says it is "OFF" i am still getting power to the load. The wiring is in a way that the "NO" has a wire connected to it (see the diagram) but there is no wire to "NC".

And here is where it gets stranger. When i move the wire from "NO" to "NC" i notice i only get output power to one outlet jack area and not to both areas. And it still didn't matter if the timer system was showing "OFF". It still was providing power to the one outlet jack.

My guess is the internal switch is damaged and stuck part way between "NO" and "NC" but mostly at "NO" which would explain why it gives full power to both jacks.

I have let my grass grow too long. It is a very healthy green color though but i am afraid that when i cut it the grass will loose its dark greeness and become yellow. Is this true? Will the grass be so damaged from the mowing because i let it grow so high? I have read that it is best to cut the grass high and often because it makes the grass stronger. I still dont get the logic behind that. But please help me out and let me know what i can expect when i do cut my grass down to normal size. Right now its about 5 inches long -- and i will be cutting it down to 2-3 inches.
