Consistancy of home made fireworks....?

ok i made 1 by takin gunpowder from blackcats botlerockets and "h-bombs" i put it in alimunum foil and taped it up... when i lit tha fuse it made white smoke instead of exploading.. my friend bought some from another friend and his (except for the gun powder dono wat kind he used) i know for a fact were made in the same stuff... prabably in the same way.. and tha 1's he bought all made a explosion sept 4 1.. it did a sparkler thing... so.. can some 1 explain and tell me how

and when i opened it up.. seemingly all of the gunpowder was still in there sept it was all black... b4 it was like silver and orange and black and a lil white stuff

black powder is the best for firecrackers etc.it can be bought werever they sell guns or make your own from, sulfer,potassium nitrate, and charcoal. for your casings use the cardbord tubes found in rolls of plastic or paper, not the flimsey ones in toilet paper they have to be at least twice as thick, fill about 2/3rds with powder plug both ends with the glue from a hot glue gun, drill small hole in center just big enough for your fuse and seal with glue and your done, be careful this may be dangerous to your health.

The explosion is caused when the powder is contained and burned. It expands until it's container (in your case the foil) bursts. If the container is loose or faulty the gas just escapes with or without sparks.

Use more layers of foil and seal the seams so it is air tight. Be sure the fuse touches your powder reservoir.

if you're having a bonfire merely chuck some cigarette lighters on it. not adequate for you? Get the aerosols on there then, and if you sense truly adventurous chuck a canister of Calor gas on there too, the nighttime will truly bypass with a bang. your relatives (or a minimum of their charred continues to be) will be nicely stimulated. have exciting!
