I'm using a L-14, 30amp twist lock between my house and Honda A.C Genset, Honda has a L14,30AMP, GFI. I kill the house main and not use Ground from Honda, RUNS GOOD! What's the theory between GFI and normal ground, why would it trip?

A GFCI outlet trips when the amperage sent out from the hot side of the plug is not equal from the return side of the neutral. Here is the problem with what you are doing. By only disconnecting the main of the house the neutral is still connected with the power companies lines. This allows the unbalanced load to travel through the power companies grounding points. You need a main disconnect that opens the hot circuit and the neutral. Plus this is a lot safer because you can't accidently have the generator and the power companies lines connected at the same time which can cause some serious problems. I hope this helps out with your generator woes.
