Firstly u need a plan of what the bungalow will look like then u need to think about the foundations- so a plan would be good.
Get an arhitect to do one on the pc for you its all clever stuff if you know exactly what ur after. Then obviously u have to think about damp prooofing, cement, bricks, u will need an electrician and an experienced builder on hand if u get stuck. Also the most important thing you will need is planning permission- unless u already have all the papers u need.

Take a look at specialist magazines (Homebuilding & Renovating, Build It etc) for a complete breakdown of the self-build process. It depends very much on what you're thinking of building with! Some people prefer traditional brick, others stone, whereas other people opt for a more 'radical' polystyrene block system, or timber frame or straw! Think very carefully and suit what's in your area or what your needs are! There are also plenty of books around (Mark Brinkley is a name that springs to mind) to get you started. Good luck!

You need to sow your bungalow seed in a heated propagator, and keep well watered. When the seedlings are 3 inches or so high, prick out and transfer to bigget pots. Keep these on a sunny windowsill for a couple of weeks before moving them outside to harden off. Finally, plant them in your plot of land, keep well watered and feed with a nitrogen based fertiliser until they are well established. Voila! One three bedroom bungalow.

Find an architect and a builder if you don't know what you're doing. At least they could advise you.
