Try getting an over-the-door type of hanger. No attachment needed.

You can get a single or multiple hook. Here's a picture:

Have you tried an "over-the-door" hanger. I have found that they are just as great & if it happens to break you can just pull it off & replace it. They come in a variety of sizes, colors, & are made from many different types of materials.

With glue & two dowels in the back of the coat hanger and into the door - clamped overnite.

They have little hooks that have a self-stick backing that you just peel & press. You can pick on of these up at any hardware store rather cheep $1 or 2 ~ then you can just hang your coathanger on that!

I have a over the door type. It works great, don't get a cheap one.

by hanger I'll assume you mean hook .....

depending if you will be hanging heavy items or not .......

if heavy you might want to use small toggle bolts,
if lighter items, I'd try a general purpose
epoxy
