I have a blue rug in my dinning room and would like to paint the walls. There is a trim going around which makes me want to split the walls into two colors. The problem is that with a blue rug I don't realy know what colors to choose. My home decor is sort of modern with leather couches, big TV and surround sound installed around the main living room. My dinning room table is glass top with black trim and the chairs are cream colored. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,

The "ceiling" cracked and WATER dripped through it a short time ago. I have looked through the YELLOW PAGES, asked other people and looked through "advice columns," but to no avail. Please, please help me with this most "serious matter."

It's for a college apartment.

Last year the theme was communism.

Right now we have a pickle ornament so it would be nice if it were involved in some way. THANKS, use your imagination.

i recently removed faux brick which had been cemented to an indoor wall by prying the brick off with a chisel. this left much of the sheet rock damaged including some holes (although not completely through the sheet rock). rather than replace the sheet rock i am looking for some ideas of creative wall treatments to cover the space with.

I want this slipcover:

However, the description doesn't list which dimensions it will cover. Are they assuming that it will fit almost all sofas?

Ok, I've never decorated a house before and I am looking for stuff to go on the walls of my new house. I'm kind of clueless as to how to make things look good. I need something to go above my couch. If you could just give me a general idea of something cool to put there that would be great! If you have a picture of something thats even better. We are going for a Tuscan style and the couch is tan.

I have green walls right now. I have white furniture, lime/light green bedspread, white sheets with pink flowers on it, a green egg chair. I have a big window on one side of my room. It is a small room. What color should I get? I have thought about a brightish blue, pale blue, pink, beige, off-white, I just can't decide! I don't want to make a big mistake!

Thanks to all of those who answer!

My mums very old, cold house has a massive kitchen with lots of uneven walls to emulsion and lots of wood to gloss. At the moment the walls are sky blue and the woodwork is sunflower yellow, so nice and bright. We want a complete change in colour scheme but we haven't a clue, it's been this colour for about 15 years so nervous to change it and make a mistake - any ideas, please! The wood has to be painted not stripped, some of it is chipboard covering pipes etc.
