Assuming it includes a dormer extension I would think around £400 to £700 is reasonable. It depends where you live - the further south you live the more you pay for some odd reason.

I would recommend checking if you require planning permission if you are putting a dormer in (may not need it but depends on size and which roof plane it is going on). You will definitely require Building Regulations approval and your architect will be able to do that for you also.

For this type a job an architect is really over qualified and will charge a lot for what amounts to very little work. There are around building technicians and surveyors that will do the drawing work. The other alternative is to get a specialist builder for loft conversions and he will work to his own drawings. Be sure that you check out at least 6 jobs that he has done in the past though.
