depends on the price of the carpet you get.

It all depends on the quality of the carpet you buy. It can range from $3 to 30 per square foot. If you rent, chances are there is pretty cheap carpet in there and I wouldn't pay more than $4-5 per square ft for replacement carpet. Chances are you can find it for less. Call around and find out what they will charge for laying the carpet. Different areas will vary. Most carpet companies will give you an estimate for free. Some will come measure for you for free too if your not sure of the sq ft. Pick up the good old fashion yellow pages and shop around. Its your money and so make sure they give you a good price...meaning if they quote you a price you can always offer them a lower price, especially if you have cash (but don't pay until the job is complete!) What's the worst they can say, no, and then you pay the price they quoted? Good luck.

Your best bet would be to tell your property manager and use there contacts to get the best deal. Most carpet stores compete for this business and get the contract for little margin but high volume. Therefore you will replace the carpet with same color style etc....Most of the time the winning contract will be between 11 and 12 dollars a yard installed. So your looking around $1200 dollars.

Sounds like a 2 bedroom apt. Apartment carpet is around 10-12 dollars a yard installed with padding.

Look into carpet tiles. They may cost a little more, but if your dogs go nuts again, you only have to replace bits of it, not the whole thing.

Also think about crate training your dogs. Way cheaper than new carpet for a second time!!!

It depends on where you shop for it and their prices... You'll have to shop around. Look for a place that sells Large remnants they usually sell them room sized or possibly full rolls.
