so i got this retro spin dial phone and its the real deal it even has the old wiring on the cord is it possible to rewire it to work in a standard modern phone conection, and how hard would that be? also what kind of spray paint should i use they told me the regular kind wont work?

The modern phones have a choice of pulse dialing or rotary dialing so the operation should be OK as long as the plug on the end will fit the wall box, as far as painting, it will probably made of Bakelite, so try a car accessory shop for paint that is suitable for plastic, or maybe a good clean up will be just as good.

the old phones were made out of phenolic, a hard plastic, won,t accept paint, doubt if it could be made to work on new system,
