I want this slipcover:

However, the description doesn't list which dimensions it will cover. Are they assuming that it will fit almost all sofas?

Try surefit.net. Here is their link to help you determine the size to buy and a link with one similar to what you are looking at. You could review others and request a swatch sample.

(JC Penny and Bed Bath and Beyond also sells this manuracturer's line).

yeah but it sucks cause that doesn't mean it will fit yours. I bought some and when I got them home I found out that my couch arms are smaller than what they allot for in fabric-- so I had to tuck it under and it gave the effect that I could have just done it with a blanket and saved me some money. I am looking into buying these things called furniture falsies, which will fill in those extra areas- but they are like 40 bucks a set so that kind of sucks. Good luck and make sure you double and triple check your measurements. Also, can you sew? :o)

They are usually on the big side and you use the ties on each side to adjust to your couch. Also what helps when using a slipcover is to take a piece of PVC pipe the length of the inside back of the couch and place it between the back cushions and seat cushions to hold it in place better.

i really hate to be a scrooge but I just purchased 2 slipcovers very similar to those and i kept them on my sofa and loveseat for about 3 weeks then removed them. They were horrible.

Some are one size fits all , but if your sofa is not large enough it will look very sloppy and baggy. Go buy a better one with dimensions on the package and measure. If you don`t like the way the cheap one fits you will be unhappy with it.

Well...most of the time...if you have a normal sized sofa. Just make sure it says "couch" or "loveseat" because there IS a difference between the both of them.
