When i get my own room, (some time next year) I want to put a picture of something from harry potter on the wall, like the castle and the lake, but how? I haven't got a projecter (is there any cheap way of getting one?) .
How do I do it?
Thankyou.

If you can draw then drawing the mural and painting it would be the cheapest. If you can't draw or even if you can then the easiest and second cheapest would be using a projector. If you look around at Thrift stores, flea markets, garage sales and even online like eBay you are bound to come across an inexpensive projector. You may even be able to borrow one. It sounds like you have plenty of time to look and save up if this is really what you want. Most ready made murals are very expensive and a collection of collectible posters can get pricey as well.
Good Luck

You ought to be able to rent a projector. When a child, my father (who owned such a thing) used it to trace pictures from a classic (1940s) Walt Disney book on our walls. He then used the pictures as a reference to "paint by color", so to speak. They turned out amazingly well (my father was no artist). Note that this is not an overhead projector that uses transparencies, but something very similar that projects the reflection of whatever is placed in it. With the drawing projected full color on the wall, it should be easy for you to trace and later paint. Supposedly, this is how Leonardo da Vinci and other famous realist Renaissance artists actually produced their great works (using the camera obscura).
