Why would you buy books for something available by the plenty online? A quick "build website" search will get you started! Also, search for websites that contain the same type of content you'll be using to get some good ideas of what you do/don't like, what works and doesn't.

HTML and PHP any cheep books works. They are all good. Some better then others but Barnes and Noble editions are very good.
