Im a teenager with a tiny bedroom and it just dosent work, we cant spend loads of money on it right now because we are doing up some of the B&B. I hate my bedroom and when I was younger I scribbled all over the walls and we havent been able to paint it. I need a bed thats not too big but has a little storage space and I want to paint something onto my wall, any ideas?

My bedroom as a teenwas 9' X 10', so I can relate.
1] get a platform bed, or elevate legs of bed, and put storage containers underneath.
2] put a chest of drawers in closet if there is room; otherwise use shoe racks and plastic bins on floor, and shelf dividers for separating hats/handbags/sweater stacks/Tshirt stacks.
3] get a small print bedding and curtains.
4] paint the walls the lightest color of the print.
5] use one other color for small accessories - lamps/shades, vases, ornaments, flowerpots, candles/holders.

Stay away from bright colors 5they can overpower a room, instead stay with whites, off whites or beiges, use either a semi gloss or high gloss paint......they will reflect light giving an appearance of a larger space. For the bed, you might consider one with drawers underneath...... that will give you extra storage space and possibly free up some space within the room. Try to keep any furnishings small (scaled down).....it only takes one oversized piece of furniture to overwhelm a small room. If you insist on putting something on the wall, why not opt for a mural, keep a theme of "open" in mind.....Ocean, Outer Space, Landscape etc., but nothing too busy or cluttered. Stay away from heavy drapes, if you have a window or two, then go to thin vertical or horizontal blinds.
It is hard to give advice without actually seeing your room, but I can only rely on my experience as a professional painter/renovator (15 years) and give you general ideas.

A futon would work great in a small room; something from IKEA would be perfect; also, paint your room in white or off white (or eggshell white). If you have a closet, then you can install a modular storage system on your closet to increase storage space and add shelving as well. FInally, a nightstand with a light and maybe a small desk and a chair to complete.

Is amazing what you can do with a little creativity. :)

For your bed, look into futons, couches that become beds. This will allow for more social room during day and sleep at night. Now-days bedrooms are being build ultra small as the prevailing thought is that people socialize in other rooms.

As to painting the walls, look into what you are into for fun as a guide: Star scapes if you are into Astronomy, Forest or oceanic scenes if you like them. Etc...

A day bed is nice because it kinda looks like a couch (and it is more comfy than a futon).

Putting up mirrors on your wall will give the illusion of a bigger room. I would also suggest painting in ligh colors to make it look bigger -- dark colors will make it look smaller. Make sure if you have any windows that they allow max light into the room -- that will help.

If you have plain drywall, I've heard that using a cool or solid color sheet with starch (the blue stuff) will hold it on the wall and cover anything. Just dump the sheet in a container of starch, squeeze it out and squeegee it up with your palms. It comes down easy when you want to change things too. If you just raise your bed off the floor with bricks or wood, you'll have room to store suitcases full of your things underneath. Hang the same color sheet in front of your closet. Find a cool lamp with a shade and decorate the shade with cut outs or beads, etc. GL!

If possible, I'd get a bed with built in storage drawers underneath. That way, you could use those for your folding clothes and wouldn't need a chest of drawers taking up space. If that's not possible, can you fit your chest of drawers into your closet?

If you can't paint over those old scribbles, get a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser and have a go at them with it. I was able to remove crayon and ink marks from my little girls walls with one.

You can get bed lifts that are inexpensive, this will allow you more storage under your bed. As for the walls, get out the Mr. Clean Magic easer and wipe away the scribbles. Add some fun artwork. You could do some abstract things that will turn out cool. Use some fun colors to brighten up you space and make it more inviting.

Paint your room a lighter color to make the walls look bigger. And I know PBTeen has lots of beds like that, but they are EXPENSIVE. But just to get you an idea of what you might want...
