We are moving into a new house. I have selected dark brown cabinets, beige countertops and a browny beige ceramic tile. I also want to put a mirrorred backsplash. Not sure if I should go with a copper or plain mirrored backsplash. Do you think the kitchen colours will look nice together or boring?

I taped down some plastic to protect the beige carpet whilst contractors were working there.
Pulled up the plastic 4-7 days later and found that the red Tuk tape left red in the carpet.
What is the best chemical to remove the red? I have tried odorless paint thinner- it does it somewhat. Just wondered if there was something more effective than "varsol".
Anybody have any experience with this?

I would like some help with decorating my new room. Im a student renting a room in a house. The room is large, is fairly well light and has high ceilings. The one problem with the room is its hideous dark terracotta carpet which i cant get rid of since Im only renting (I may be able to cover it up with large rugs if worst comes to worst!). I have looked around but can find nothing to go with the carpet and Im pretty clueless when it comes to matching things up. This room is pretty much empty apart from a bed and a Built in pine (I think?) wardrobe and it has cream coloured walls so Im open to colour suggestions so I can buy some new furniture and bed sheets.

Im a 19 y/old male and i was hoping for a light coloured room with natural colours.

I'd really appreciate any help you could offer with this. Thanks

Recently I wanted to re-do my kitchen so I painted the cabinets and the walls. It looks okay, but the cabinets turned out more pink than maroon (like I wanted), and the walls are extremely more yellow (like the sun). I wanted more of a maroon, but not too dark, and the yellow was supposed to be slightly more pale than it is. Any suggestions with decorating so I don't have to repaint so soon?

I will be painting again this winter I suppose, but for now I need to "tone it down" a little. Thanks to all!

I'm looking for a way to hang a sheer fabric 30x40 poster in a dorm room without doing any permanent damage to the wall. Any suggestions/insight would be useful.

There are many things that make your home your home and professional window treatment is what makes your home, you.

There is in fact a person who has an unbelievable amount of experience in making and in fact more of installing these window treatments. He has in fact spent his whole life doing what he knows and loves which is installing and making drapies for a various cliental.
If you know where he may get a job or interview, or a site that is hiring installers.

If you also are a interior designer, he may you very much. He can install your drapies for your new home for your client. He is also experienced in chair covering. I.E. if you found the PERFECT chair but the color or fabric does not work, he would be more than happy to recover the chair, to whom which it work for you.
For anyone who is hiring or knows a place online.
I would be more than happy. Thank you, for taking your time no matter how much it is.

Hi all, I'm painting a teen's room. We have hot pink walls and she wants a stripe pattern on the walls, does anyone know any good websites that offer pictures of various new teen designs for painting? We are going to tape the lines and paint them.

Thanks!
