I know they are really great sheets, but what exactly about them makes them so good?
Is it the higher the thread count the better?
Do they not wrinkle as easily as normal sheets?
And do they need special laundry treatment?

So far I've painted the room a neutral tan color with an accents wall in terracotta (dark orange)...Ideally I would like a bed or sofa to go agaist that wall. I'm not sure what type of furniture and accessories I should purchase to make it look very ethnic yet classy for our guests.

there are few things around the house i am willing to pay someone to do ,i have lots to do but need first things first -
a roof it has only one layer ,i have one bid of 8k, just for the house which is 2000k sq. ft. not sure how much more for the garage and this does not included gutters.i was also told that i would save about 2k if i removed the old roof .

exterior painting which i have gotten bids from 4k to 25k,and
it will cost 1k more to do the garage and about 1-2k in repairs such as patching where i took out an old screen door, nothing major.

what do i need to ask for, what is a good base price for
these jobs,do i have to hire experts .

it really gets me when they say oh the garage too and look
at me and seem to not know why- i hate that .am i really saying something wrong. plus it puts off the bid they have to refigure things which is about another week of waiting.

I'm remodling my Living room. I have decided to use 1x4's as my door trim to make it look rustic. Looking for some suggestions on what type of stain I should use. Thank You!

hi

I am moving into a new apartment which has no flooring. At the moment it just has smooth concrete on the floor. Would it be possible to just paint the floor some colour, and then put some kind of varnish on it to make it shine?

I'm aiming for a way to save money and have a minimalist look. Thanks.

Right now my room screams 10 year old girl, I have dogs posters and pics everywhere and old school projects from the second grade. Also my vanity dresser's shelves aren't filled with make-up...theyre filled with books. Im pretty sure the only reason I haven't gotten any negative feedback on my room is because the only people that come in it are 4-7 years old (p.s. Im 14). Im going to Highschool in like 3-4 weeks and I really need to shake off this 'burdon of a room' that my room has become. How do I make it look of a 14 year olds room?

I need to get a vent for an extractor fan installed fairly sharpish. I currently have an extractor fan over my hob, but it's set to recirculate (i.e. uses carbon or something to remove the smell). I had it installed like this, as it was too difficult to install a vent as I'm on the 1st floor of a block of flats.

However, painters have just put up scaffolding so they can paint the windows - so it's the ideal time to get someone in. So should I be hiring a builder? A plumber? Or are there people to do this job specifically (in north London ideally). Can anyone give me some pointers?

I want to install them above the window frame/casing (trim). Has anyone done it before?
I saw it somewhere online, but can't remember where.
I like woven shades but want to install them closer to the ceiling to give a dramatic effect. Yet, I want privacy for the room as well. Can it be done?
I asked a similar question but got some weird answers that didn't resolve the question.

i wan't to paint my bedroom a bright blue and a bright orange, i know bright colors could become very obnoxious, but with the paint colors that i'm going to chose it'll probably be very hard to find sheets that would match any color recomendations besides white?

Like I said, I can't take it anymore without saying this:

Has anyone else but me noticed how many idiots are on this site that DON'T want to help people out? It amazes me how mean some people are... Am I the only one here who thinks these people are idiots???? Imagine... someone comes here asking for help and some jerks just feel the urge to stomp on them thru this site... I just can't seem to wrap my mind around it... I guess that that is the only way they can feel BIG... by making others feel small.

So this is for those of you who get idiots like that that answer your questions: Ignore them and rate their answers bad.

And for those of you idiots that do this: Get a life!

Not sure what "downlights" are called in the U.S. They are small 12 volt halogen lighting which is fitted inside a gimble which is installed in the ceiling.

I am fitting these (probably four of them) to a large bedroom. Where should these lights be installed? Should they shine onto the bed or not? Any suggestions would be great. Thanks

I asked my boyfriend to live with me and said sure if I took down my doll collection. What's the big deal? I love my doll collection, it's one of my most prized possession. I have about 40 dolls: porcleain dolls, Barbies, Bratz, and some others, but he says it's childish and says I need to take it down. I think that was kind of selfish of him, since I asked and it is my apartment, after all. What do you guys think?

I have this black coffee table with 2X2 spaces under the top. I put shoes in 1/2 but the other 1/2 I have bought baskets to put there. I plan on using it as a decoration, but I don't know what would be a good idea to use them for. Like, what should I put in them. It is down in the living room...so, idk? lol

We aren't able to change the living room floor. There is a huge window so a lot of light can enter the room. I was thinking about a terracotta orangy colour. My boyfriend wants blue! Eww! We need help ASAP. Also lots of dark wood furnishings, ex. end tables, piano. Also a one dark wood panelling wall in the room.
