I am trying to hang some heavy-ish artwork on the wall, but I don't want to hang them where the studs are. I've tried nails and screws, but it's like my walls are made out of chalk! The nails/screws both pulled out almost immediately.

Suggestions?

What is better a candle or fragrance oil?

I was at bath and body works. But did not know which one is better, the fragrance oil or a candle. I'd really like to know from your experience which one is better.

Im trying to find the right colors to flow with the burnt orange wall that I have in the dinning room. I would like to bring the color through the living room on through the hallway and the bedrooms to the side.
Can random colors just be used in the various bedrooms or is it a must that they all flow. My furniture is all chocolate brown and modern accents from the urban type stores.

As I said the units are walnut with long silver handles. The appliances are silver. The worktops are black marble. All the accessories are silver/black, so I feel the walls need a colour to compliment the kitchen. I'm not keen on anything too dramatic because it's not very big. Just something subtle. Also, do you think it's strange to have framed pictures in a kitchen?

I have an 1800 sqft manufactured home that I purchased new about 5 yrs ago. I have two boys and we live on a ranch so I ripped the carpet out and put down a pine floor. I'm not happy with the pine floor as I want to get away from the country look and get something more modern looking. I like tile but that sounds expensive. Any help would be appreciated!

I plan to move out of my parents' house in a couple years. But I'll most likily be working two jobs. I'm a very tidy, minimalistic, organized person so my apartment will reflect that. But that's not memorable. The Playboy Manison-that's memorable. How can you have a memorable apartment if you can't afford peacock infestation?

I live in the UK. I have an average sized bathroom, and plan to replace the bath, toilet and basin with new ones in the same position. The room does not have a shower so I plan to have one fitted. I also have a tiny en-suite with a toilet, basin and shower that need fully replacing.

I have bought both suites, the towel rails. (Member of family works in bathrooms retail) I just need someone to fit them and fully tile both rooms.

How much do you reckon this could cost? Quotes coming back on Monday and want to feel that I haven;'t been ripped off.

My wall color is called "Rainwashed" by Sherman Williams, which is on the blue color scheme although also blending into a very pae green. You can check it out on their color visualizer if you'd like: http://www.sherwin-williams.com/do_it_yourself/
THE QUESTION???? The headboard is kind of high, but there is still alot of space above it. Do you think I should decorate above the headboard, i.e.artwork or leave the space empty. I've been asking myself that question for a year now so I really would like some input. Thanks.

We bought a new home and having the carpet installed ourselves. We have this one room that is huge with cathedral ceilings and 3 seperate 8 feet windows. As for the carept, I found a dark beige berber with dark brown, light green specs in it. The railings and hardwood in the house are brown, green grey. o.k. so the carpet has squares in it. Do you think it would look too busy for this room?
