Im trying to find the right colors to flow with the burnt orange wall that I have in the dinning room. I would like to bring the color through the living room on through the hallway and the bedrooms to the side.
Can random colors just be used in the various bedrooms or is it a must that they all flow. My furniture is all chocolate brown and modern accents from the urban type stores.

i vote for flow because if you just do any old color in whatever way you want it's gonna look crazy

off whites are good for tying looks together

benj moore has nice off whites here's the site

Keep to the same theme for the living room and hallways. The bedrooms can be different as the doors can be shut and therefore they are seperate.
For the livingroom I'd go for a Red colour - in keeping with your burnt orange dining room and brown furniture.
For the hallway you could go for a milky chocolate brown or a very deep taupe with chocolate brown accents. Then if your bedrooms are usually seen you could paint one a medium taupe (with orange tones) and perhaps the other a cool green.
These are all colours in nature and seen in the fall so would work well. I'd stick to red in the livingroom (red is condusive to talking which is good for entertaining) and if you want change the hall to the green (forest greenish) and a bedroom a chocolate brown.

1] Just because the dining room is burnt orange, doesn't mean all has to be. What you need is a flow of color, not all the same color.
2] what colors do the LR and DR have in common? Floors, drapes, etc? Add a little more -
3] I suggest some small accessory colors from LR be added to DR, not vice versa. [ picture frames, lamps, pillows, candles, vases, knick-knacks - such as burnt orange pillows, or same curtains, with colors from both rooms in them or both in neutrals, like ivory or chocolate ].
4] then use some little amount of DR color in kitchen
5] The wall or floor color of the LR can go out of room and down the hall.
6] Bedrooms are not public rooms, they are private, so don't need flow.[ continuation of color ]. Pay attention to using different carpet colors, though - make sure the edges don't all 'peep' into the hall.
7] for LR, try:
ivory
peach
butter yellow
light gold [ honey ]
sage
pale lime
aqua
light blue
turquoise
lavender
caramel
8] try brass frames for paintings, posters, photos, and mirrors - goes with chocolate, burnt orange, etc.

I think it is best to choose a color scheme and keep it throughout your home. This doesn't mean the same exact colors but, as you said, ones that will flow. With burnt orange you need to keep with taupes, caramels or browns. You, of course, can add other colors in different rooms for accent but stick to your basic color theme for major pieces such as walls, carpeting, furniture and bedding.

I would say a Navajo White, its not a white white. Checkit out, I think it would bend in just right.
