do want u'r room to have some PUNCH or POP? then make u'r curtains have some POP in them. Like something that would entail the colors of pink/green/lt/brown. Something like circles/stripes/ geometric design. For a less softer side, go w/ some softer stripes or flowers.

U can make u'r own if u know how to iron. Jst look for some material & don't forget to ck the clearance bins. Then ask if they have or something similar to .. STITCH WITCHERY.. u use that to iron 2 pieces of material together. SO jst make a bigger opening seam at the top & slide the rod thru it. Whatever u'r window width is.. u want to either double OR triple that for some ruffle in the curtain so it isn't flat. IF u won't want to put it ON a rod... then do the seams all the way around the same size.. 1" ( u want about 2" xtra material sides & bttm & then get these rings that have hooks on them & put the rod thru the rings & hook them every 5-8" on the curtain. VIOLA!!

even use some of the material & cover some pillows for u'r bed or floor. that way u'r pullin that color all over the room & pulling it all together.

B Kreative & have fun~

To update your room from a kiddy look I would go with roman shades in a neutral color and a valance in a geometric print with pink and green in it - maybe with some black in the print too. Target is a great source for the roman shades as well as most local dept. stores - you shouldn't have to go to the expense of a "custom roman shade." If you sew or your Mom you can make the roman shade with fabric and just staple it on a piece of wood the width of your window and buy an already made valance -------

Well that will be hard to match and will depend on your style, but you can find pretty cool ideas at JC Penney's website:

www.jcp.com

They have bedrooms set up for teenage girls that might give you some ideas!

I am putting a link below with some curtains that are lime green and a deeper pink...don't know if that would go but worth a shot. Good luck.

Look for a striped fabric with pink, green, and possibly brown in it. You can make simple curtains very easily. Horizontal stripes vs. vertical stripes can give the room a whole different look.

IDEAS:
1] solid light green, dark pink, or dark green curtains
2] lace curtains in white or ivory
3] flower print of dark pink, with light and dark green leaves
4] stripes of light and dark green
5] buy three sets of skinny [ not too wide ] sheers - in light green, dark pink, and dark green. Hang three sets of curtains on each curtain rod, with dark green on outside, and light green on inside, and pink in middle.
Add throw pillows in light and dark greens, and dark pink, or a print.
Add other accessories [ chair, lamps, vase or flower pot,
candles, flower swag or wreath ] in same colors.
Frame all pictures in similar colors or materials [ oak or walnut, brass or silver, colored enamel ] so they unite the room, and can be re-arranged.
If one wall lacks some color, put up a wreath or floral swag on that wall.
to DE-KID your room:
get rid of stuffed animals, except one
store books, kid games, and toys
get rid of kid prints, or cover them with a quilt or throw
store juvenile artwork and projects

Once you've chosen your wall color, choose your trim and moldings colors. Paint your trims and moldings in either the same hue as the walls, or a lighter color. Lighter objects appear closer while darker or shadowed objects appear further away. When you paint your moldings a lighter color, the wall appears further back - thus making your room appear bigger. https://goo.gl/9U6f7V
