I know they are really great sheets, but what exactly about them makes them so good?
Is it the higher the thread count the better?
Do they not wrinkle as easily as normal sheets?
And do they need special laundry treatment?

Softer, velvety. Yes, the higher the thread count, the better. Better quality, that's why they are so expensive. I've spent $50 on just a fitted sheet and 2 pillowcase set. That was on sale. They're my favorite though. My husband loves them too. Every time I put them on the bed he says they're so soft and smooth, lol. They're def. worth the price. I always wash them normally like all the other stuff. They don't seem to wrinkle to me. I would recommend them. Love them!

Higher thread count sheets will certainly enhance their feel. However, Egyptian cotton feels so wonderful because it is a long fiber cotton, rather than a short fiber cotton that is raised in the U.S. Pima Cotton is the only long fiber cotton grown commercially in the U.S. The longer fibers make the cotton extremely soft, almost silky. And the more they are washed, the softer they get. There really is no difference in wrinkling.

Egyptian cotton
Considered the best cotton in the world. Cultivated mainly in the Nile River Valley in Egypt, this grade of cotton boasts the longest and strongest fibers. Used in high-end towels and linens.

I have noticed a big difference in how long our Egyptian cotton sheets have lasted and how they feel. I have washed them just I do the rest of the laundry - no problems, but I would check the label to make sure.
