Right now my room screams 10 year old girl, I have dogs posters and pics everywhere and old school projects from the second grade. Also my vanity dresser's shelves aren't filled with make-up...theyre filled with books. Im pretty sure the only reason I haven't gotten any negative feedback on my room is because the only people that come in it are 4-7 years old (p.s. Im 14). Im going to Highschool in like 3-4 weeks and I really need to shake off this 'burdon of a room' that my room has become. How do I make it look of a 14 year olds room?

first grab a box and go throught your room remove everything that gives you that feeling of 10 year old girl!!!!
once that is all done!
then you can start to think about what sort of theme you may want to go!
ask yourself what you like to do now as a 14 year old? what music do youlike!
Flip throught web site and magizens that 14 year old girls read (sorry i always used the teen mag) is that still around! lol
or pick 3 of your favore colros and see if they go well together!
set up a budget no more then 50 dollars! and go to the dollar store and get the stuff you like now and place it in the room!
the nice thinga bout a 14 year old room youdon't need a theme or the theme can be "What I like"
I had a basement room so i let my friends draw and write on the walls it was fun but now that i had to move it was a pain to wash off!
so be carefull!

1. Organize it and and make it look neat. You'd be surprised just how much of a difference organizing can do.

2. Get rid of the posters and replace them with some framed pictures or photographs.

3. Get rid of the old school projects except maybe a few you really like.

4. Get a book shelf to store the books in and get them out of your vanity dresser.

5. If you're tired of the color, then paint the room.

Organize! Take everything off of your walls. Throw away anything that you haven't used in the past year.(like your second grade projects. You could always paint your walls and get a new comforter that has colors to match your walls. Hang up a cork board and put some pictures of family and friends on it. Maybe even get a cheap book shelf. Try looking at a thrift shop for one that you can paint to put all your books on.
