I want to make murals like this. Where would I start? How to learn it?

Start small. Get like 9 tiles and see what you can do! You could frame it for your kitchen wall if it comes out really cool and use it to match your final product.
The link you provided gave some pretty clear basic directions, though I'm pretty sure the artist doesn't want everyone doing their own. I'm guessing here, but probably any directions for painting raw material pots would work.

When you going buy tiles ,ask for fruit or picture tiles .Measure area that you need to tiled and design your own idea for tilling and ask home improvement how to install tiles.

Thats beautiful. First I know you have to have special paint for ceramic tiles, although with something like that maybe you could use acrylics then seal them??
Naw, dunno really - but good luck with it.
