my room is hot pink with a polka dot comforter. what can i put in it to really spice it up!? lava lamps? the little things that drape over your bed? somthing?

I love to decorate!! A cheap idea that I've used is to buy a bunch of string lights (the Christmas ones - buy them on sale in January) and then I put little push pins to hold them up. I have purple ones that give my room a lot of character and really spice it up. Also...I am a fan of collages all over the walls. I use poster board and old magazine pictures.

Lava lamps are great, beaded curtains, hang a mini disco ball near the ceiling light to reflect sparkly light throughout the room when the light hits it, there are many ideas to spruce up your room.

If you want a fun atmosphere in your room, use a light yellow-green. HGTV.com is also a good place for more ideas. They have a photo of a pink and green room.

Try looking at the Lilly Pulitzer clothing web-site. She uses wonderful pinks, fuchsias, lime greens, oranges..vibrant colors, extremely classy, while being totally fun. Her designs lean toward "Preppy" styles with whales, palm trees, alligators, etc. Maybe her wild, colorful prints, will give you your "inspiration" piece. Good luck!

omg i absoultly love my room. its like walking into a rainbow no lie. i have like green && blue curtain things && i have this photoboard like full of pictures. && ahh i thought was so kwl my parents made me a posterboard that has my name at the top && u can put all kinds of stuff there. && behind my door is this pink hangy thing that you put brushes in. && stickers everywhere. but i really really love my room it is so ahh i jus love it. but you can add like all different kinds of colors && stuff. && have like all likes of funky lights. ull do good.

you could put a canopy over your bed. some feather lamps. you could paint your walls the same color of your comforter
